Caregiver Compensation - Louisiana

Louisiana offers one way to get paid as a family caregiver.

1. Louisiana Community Choices Waiver: is designed to allow elderly and/or disabled individuals who would otherwise require care in a nursing facility to remain at home. This program helps to pay for a variety of home-based services including: care management and accessibility related home modifications. 

Program Requirements

• MUST be 65+ or an adult with disabilities 

  • MUST require nursing level of care 

  • MUST be low income (Medicaid eligible)
