Ready Set Care
Missouri offers two ways to get paid as a family caregiver.
1. Consumer Directed State Plan Personal Care Program: enables elderly and/or disabled adults who require nursing facility level of assistance to receive care at home. This program pays friends and certain family members for providing personal care services.
Program Requirements
MUST be a resident of Missouri
MUST be 18+
MUST be physically disabled
MUST require nursing facility level of care
MUST be able to self-direct their own care
MUST be Medicaid eligible
Spouses are NOT eligible

2. Missouri Independent Living Waiver: is designed to help elderly and disabled adults receive care at home. This program allows and pays for care recipients to choose their caregivers. Other services include: environmental accessibility adaptations and case management.
Program Requirements
MUST be a resident of Missouri
MUST be age 18-64 and physically disabled
MUST require nursing facility level of care
MUST be able to self-direct their own care
MUST be Medicaid eligible
Spouses are NOT eligible
