Caregiver Compensation - Oklahoma

Oklahoma offers two ways to get paid as a family caregiver.

1. ADvantage: enables elderly and/or disabled adults who require nursing facility level of assistance to receive care at home. This program allows certain family members to be hired and paid to carry out personal care services. Other services range from adult day and respite care to meal deliveries.

Program Requirements

• MUST be an Oklahoma resident

  • MUST be 65+, OR, 21+ and disabled

  • MUST require nursing facility level of care

  • MUST be Medicaid eligible

  • Spouses are NOT eligible

2. Personal Care Program: allows elderly and disabled adults who cannot complete activities of daily living to remain at home. Under this program, certain family members can be hired and paid to carry out personal care services.

  • MUST be 65+ or disabled

  • MUST require assistance with daily living activities

  • MUST be Medicaid eligible

  • Spouses are NOT eligible
